Abstract: Issues of the turn-of-the-century Norwich Bulletin will be online by the end of the summer. The Connecticut State Library will use a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to digitize 1910 to 1922 of the Bulletin and two defunct Bridgeport papers.

Abstract: (HARTFORD, CT) The Connecticut State Library is pleased to announce that the three historically significant newspaper titles chosen to be digitized in collaboration with the National Digital Newspaper Program have been completed and are now available online through the Library of Congress’ newspaper site: Chronicling America http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/ The titles include: New Haven’s Morning Journal and Courier from 1880-1908, The Newtown Bee, from 1877-1909, and The Waterbury Evening Democrat from 1887-1908.

These newspapers include: New Britain Herald 1920-1930 Connecticut Western News 1871-1922 Tolland County Press and The Press from Stafford Springs 1883-1922 Italian language papers from 1906-1930 African American papers from 1940-1949 and Labor papers from 1836-1932
