We the People and 2007
To support the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown Colony with a targeted grant initiative, a pilot oral history project, three programs for VFH's radio series, and a speakers bureau connected to the Virginia Festival of the Book.
VFH will undertake four projects on "We the People and 2007," the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown Colony, the germ of the American Republic. VFH will award grants to specially targeted organizations; conduct oral history interviews in a pilot project entiyled "Virginia's Stories"; produce three programs for the VFH weekly radio series, "With Good Reason"; and develop a Speakers Bureau and programs for the Virginia Festival of the Book.
