"North Dakota Reads," a reading and discussion program using scholar-facilitators, printed and online catalogues, and a book loan program, culminating in a book festival.
The NDHC requests funding for “North Dakota Reads,” a reading and discussion program led by scholars throughout the state.Through directed conversations, the NDHC will develop themes and choose books for the pre-packaged programs, each one with a scholar assigned to serve as a resource and facilitator. Using a printed and on-line catalog and extensive publicity through its partners, the NDHC will loan books and provide discussion leaders to groups. “North Dakota Reads” will celebrate reading and cultural understanding in a book festival, bringing writers together with readers of all ages.
