Key Ingredients: America and Hawai'i by Food, and Literature and Medicine
A tour of the Smithsonian exhibition, " Key Ingredients: America by Food" to communities around the state, a publication on cultural food traditions in Hawai‘i, and reading and discussion programs for local hospitals.
The Hawai’i Council for the Humanities will tour a Smithsonian exhibit “Key Ingredients: America by Food” to communities around the state, support local programs at each site, produce a companion display and publish a book on Humanities and Food in Hawai‘i, stressing local, ethnic and cultural traditions, literature and history associated with food in America and Hawai‘i. The grant will support training and pilot programs for “Literature and Medicine” reading and discussion programs in Hawai’i.
