The Future of the Past: The Business of Cultural Heritage Tourism
To support a Cultural and Heritage Tourism conference and publication of the conference proceedings as well as a heritage tourism website focused on the history, culture and significant historical sites and structures in the Virgin Islands.
The Virgin Islands is exploring the economic benefits of preserving & promoting our culture & heritage through tourism—the mainstay of the Virgin Islands economy. The Virgin Islands Humanities Council, in support of the territory’s need to develop a successful cultural & heritage tourism product, is requesting $46,280 to execute a Cultural and Heritage Tourism Conference, a V.I. Heritage Tourism website & a publication of the conference proceedings to be widely disseminated.
