American History/American Identity II
IHC will explore We the People themes through Speaker's Bureau presentations, summer teacher institutes, and council-conducted programs ranging from reading and discussion programming to programs about American Root Music. It will also make grants related to this initiative.
The IHC proposes several programs to explore WTP themes: 1. 50 Speaker’s Bureau presentations examining WTP topics; 2. interdisciplinary summer teacher institutes; 3. council-conducted programs – a reading/discussion program exploring American identity; programs complementing Smithsonian traveling exhibits; programs in an initiative examining American Roots Music along with Idaho’s own folk music traditions; special presentations; and 4. regrant projects related to WTP themes.
