the 13th annual SC Book Festival, the Clemente Course for 30 disadvantaged and often homeless Charleston residents, National History Day, the Museum on Main Street exhibition "Key Ingredients: America By Food," the 7th annual SC Institute for Community Scholars, and the development of complementary programming for "Picturing America."
With $88,730 in outright We the People funds, $17,500 in gift & match, and $5,000 for Picturing America, The Humanities Council SC will: 1. Host its 13th Annual SC Book Festival in February 2009 2. Support four community projects: Trident Technical College’s Clemente Course, National History Day in SC, Museum on Main Street tour of Key Ingredients, the SC Arts Commission’s SC Institute for Community Scholars 3. provide collateral programming for the NEH initiative Picturing America.
