New York Council for the Humanities Conversation Initiative
Funding will support civic engagement initiatives including Community Conversations, the Public Conversation Bureau and the High School Conversation Bureau, all designed to offer New Yorkers opportunities to engage deeply with issues and ideas related to shared American identity.
The New York Council for the Humanities Conversation Initiative is made up of three distinct programs, each of which involves facilitated discussion of shared texts in a public setting: Community Conversations; the Public Conversation Bureau; and the High School Conversation Bureau. Together, these programs will offer New Yorkers a range of opportunities to engage deeply with issues and ideas related to our shared American identity in a community setting.
