The University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAM/PFA) respectfully requests a Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to furnish and equip education and study facilities in its new building in Downtown Berkeley, scheduled to open in 2016. These spaces include the PFA Library and Film Study Center; the museum's new Works on Paper Study Center; and a state-of-the-art small film and video screening room. BAM/PFA also requests endowment support for a position to staff the Works on Paper Study Center specifically, providing access and information to audiences both on site and online, and significantly expanding the impact of the collection on the study of the humanities.
