The Mississippi River: Humanities and Civil Engineering
To develop an alternative Freshman-level course for engineering majors. The purpose will be an integration of the disciplines of engineering and humanities in a study of the symbolic, social, and technological aspects of the Mississippi River. Course will include lectures as well as seminars featuring films, slides, and discussion. Students, course faculty, departmental chairmen, and consultants will evaluate the course.
