INTERDISCIPLINARY CORE CURRICULUM- LAKELAND COLLEGE
Lakeland will offer 3 model interdisciplinary courses as a trial offering to test the validity of a proposed interdisciplinary core as a means of providing dialogue between the humanities and the natural and social sciences. Courses will provide a model for future core courses -find will test student acceptance of the concept. The proposed courses are "Understanding of Man in a Changing World", "The European Holocaust, 1933-45," and "The Haven Nuclear Generating Plant: A Case Study in Facts and Values". Pilot courses will be evaluated independently, as a group, and as future components of a core. Evaluation will be secured from students, faculty, and external consultants.
