FRESHMAN COURSE IN WESTERN CULTURAL HERITAGE
To establish a committee drawn from Art, Classics, English, History, Philosophy and Science faculties to refine and amplify humanities curriculum. To offer a pilot freshmen course beginning with the Old Testament and Ancient Greece, and proceeding chronologically with selected topics through to modern times. Concentration on primary sources, with provisions for duplicating otherwise unavailable materials and strengthening library holdings.
