Master of Arts in Humanities
The Department of Humanities at the University of New Haven, in cooperation with several mother departments of the School of Arts and Sciences, will refine and implement a graduate course of study leading to the Master of Arts degree in Humanities. At an institution known for Business and Engineering, the program will provide a much-needed intellectual stimulus for its Liberal Arts Faculty which often serve only a "support" function, allow for a meaningful overlap between the “practical" and "cultural" aspects of higher education, and attract students back to the university who would otherwise not return for advanced degrees.
