To help support a year of planning toward establishing an Institute for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Princeton. Two planning conferences are scheduled during the year and will involve the Committees for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, outside advisory scholars from Princeton and neighboring institutions, students and guest speakers. During the grant period the P.I. will initiate discussions between faculty and administration, pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, set priorities and consider desirable innovations.
