Utilization of Museum Resources by a Sch ool to Develop Course of Study
To design and implement, in cooperation with the Metropolitan Museum of Art In NYC, an interdisciplinary course of study of ancient and medieval civilizations, utilizing the resources of the school and the museum. The course would replace one-half year of the traditional 8th grade social studies class. Students will study mythology, drama, legends, music, art, and the literature written about life in ancient and medieval times. Curriculum materials and a young people's biography of King Tutankhamun will be written and disseminated.
