Minority Groups and Slavery in Babylonia, 1400-1225 B.C.

To study the role of the minority populations in the Babylonian society of the Kassite period (c. 1600-1150 B.C.) to see how and why they first came to Babylonia; and how they interacted with the native inhabitants; what political, social, and economic functions they filled in society. With the growing importance of minority studies throughout the world, it would be of interest to see how other cultures in ancient times faced the same problems as we do today.
