Types and Functions of Ritual Actions in Greek Tragedy

To study the scope, functions, and interpretations of ritual actions in Greek tragedy. Project will discover and classify the types of rituals used and then analyze the general tragic convention and suggest the contributions a particular ritual may make to the interpretation of individual plays, authors, and Greek tragedy in general.
