Words Borrowed from Sumerian into Babylonian: Their Linguistic and Cultural Impact

To complete a study of the words borrowed from Sumerian, the earliest written language, and incorporated into Babylonian, the primary semi- tic language of ancient Mesopotania. The investigation will treat the linguistic aspects of the borrowing of the words, and view them as evidence for cultural contact between the speakers of Sumerian and Okkadian
