The Political Ideology of the Prussian Aristocracy in the Nineteenth Century

To examine the political conservatism of the Prussian aristocracy of the 19th century. Although the basis of its political ideology was rooted in a pre-modern notion of society, the problems facing them were modern. Aristocracy's survival depended on ability to develop a viable economic basis for power. P.I. maintains that the conservation of the Prussian aristocracy was the product of the constant dialectic between its changing social and economic history.
