A Neo-Whiteheadian Naturalism and Its Implications for a Theory of Human Being

To complete a Whiteheadian study which focuses on 1) the question of God and 2) the nature of man. Three issues structure the study. a) Does the concept "God'' introduce incoherence within the Whiteheadian system? t>) Can Paul Tillich’s insight that God is not a being among other being but the ground of being, or the depth dimension of being, be adapted to a Whitehead scheme "without God" to preserve many of the essential features of more traditional religious orientations? c) Can the resultant Whiteheadian naturalism support a far richer and more developed theory of human being than anything yet produced by Whitehead or Whiteheadians?
