The Relationship Between the Writings of Andre Gide and the Art of Maurice Denis
The purpose of this project is to complete research for a book on the relationship between the writings of the French writer André Gide and the art of the post-impressionist painter Maurice Denis. Through the study of this particular relationship, my aim is to address the debates on the interaction of literature and the other arts at the turn of the century, and the issues writers and artists faced while working together.
