ABSTRACT: Intensive 6-month program of study in the classical humanitiesof India, China, Japan. As teacher of humanities at Santa Fe Junior College Fellow needs to gain competence in non-western humanities--both to communicate humanistic knowledge of the non-western world to American students and to transmit the essentials of the western humanistic tradition to non-western students. Fellow to attend University of Florida for two terms. Has Masters of Arts of Teaching (MA) from University of Florida; does not plan to earn doctorate.
