To study the process of revolution as these forces begin to polarize the entire culture and men who cherish truly humanisitc ideals are left to wander hopelessly. This is the condition of tragedy as perceived by Scott, Shelley, Byron, Carlyle, Arnold, Ruskin, and Yeats.
