To study the origin and development of cultural traditions with emphasis on 20th century handicrafts in India, China, and the Far East. To compile a definitive photographic catalog of contemporary works produced in different regions, i.e. ceramic, jewelry, decorative metalware, textiles, paper baskets, wood-carving, etc.
