The Philosophical Base of Sociology
To analyze the objective empiricism that lies at the base of contemporary sociology: its origins, its assumptions, its expression in sociological methods and theory, its role in the failure to develop a humanistic social science, and to examine the alternatives to sociology's present philosophical base. This study could well provide the philosophical ground for a new and productive humanistic sociology, which is lacking now.
