American Jewish Theology and American Civil Religion
To study the influence American civil religion had on the writings of Arthur Cohen, will Herbert, Abraham Heschel, and the Robert Gordis and the contribution each of writers made toward its development. Through study of the American civil religion and its effects upon American Jewish life and through the relationship between the two can be clarified.
