The History of College and University Health Services

This book will be a history of the origins and development of health services at institutions of higher education in the United States from the early 1800s through the present. It will examine how college and university health centers evolved in conjunction with changing views of college students in the United States. Because this project covers a topic in the history of healthcare and public health, I am applying for joint support from NEH and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
