Faculty Development Program

Faculty development grant to assist instructor of speech and director of drama at predominantly Negro Virginia Union University in completing MFA so that he will be better able to develop program in black drama. ABSTRACT: Faculty development grant to assist William Kramer, instructor of speech and director of drama, at predominantly Negro Virginia Union University in completing MFA at University of Oklahoma. Virginia Union developing program of urban-center studies in theatre and particularly in black drama as well as working toward a realistically viable theatre program. Kramer's role central to development of such a program. Studies will have great influence on his effectiveness as a teacher. Funds for travel to Oklahoma, tuition, room and board for summer session.
