The Impact of White Movement for Change Upon the Afro-American Community

To research, for publication, the period from 1929 to the 1960s and to examine the activities within the Negro community of liberal groups, the labor movement, church affiliated organziation and white civil rights activists in the 1950s and 1960s. The focus throughout will be the impact of such activities upon the political, cultural and psychological makeup of the black community.
