Greensboro, North Carolina: A Case Study of Social Change in Race Relations, 1954-1969

To examine the development of racial relations in Greensboro, NC since the Brown decision (1954). Greensboro was the first Southern city which pledged to comply with the Brown decision and was the birthplace for the sit-in-movement. Oral and written records of Black and White citizens will be used.
