Alexander black, Pioneer of the Mass Arts

To research the life and work of Alexander Black (1859-1940). Black recognized early the application of technological inventions such as the camera to mass communication and entertainment. He was an artist and novelist and helped to adapt the camera to popular use by writing one of the first manuals for amateur photographers.
