Seminar: Themes in the Cross-Cultural Analysis of Women and Society

The seminar will review major writings on women's roles cross- culturally and historically. Common themes that run through the various theories of the basis for female/male relations in our society will be discussed. Male/female roles in non-Western societies will be studied closely as well.
