Germany and the Locarno Era of European Reconciliation

Study of Germany and the Locarno ero of the late 1920s, an era in which Germany, France and Great Britain attempted to overcome the bitter heritage of World War I through cooperation. Study focuses on the German government's conception of its aims in the negotiation of the Locarno security pact in 1925, popular reaction and political opposition to their efforts. Fellow to work in Washington, D.C., on the captured German documents of the 1920s, German newspapers, and secondary resources available at the Library of Congress.
