Broad study of children's literature: 1) to set up various independent programs of study in children's literature which would be distributed to colleges, especially small colleges which typically do not have a specialist in this field. Programmed courses could then be filed in the libraries, along with catalogues of bibliographies, suggested paper topics, questions for discussion, etc.; the student would only need a sponsoring professor to check his work. 2) to work particularly on a program of race-related children's literature with discussions of older works, list of newer works, introductions to Negro writers of children's books, etc., to result in an article or pamphlet as well as a programmed course.
