The League of Nations Union 1919-1939

Study of the League of Nations Union, an organization which significantly influenced the direction of British policy during the inter-war period. Organized shortly after the League of Nations itself, the Union had achieved a membership of 200,000 by 1922 and in the following ten years its active membership totaled well over a million. Its size, financial resources, excellent leadership, as well as its numerous and enthusiastic supporters made it a force to be reckoned with.
