Booker T. Washington-W.E.B. DuBois Controversy: A Conflicts of Negro Racial Ideals During the Progressive Era

To research and determine whether direct lines of influence connected Black writers for the Broadway stage, journalists in New York, Boston and Washington, and the various settlement workers. This study will be the first in a series of exploration into the crises over group identity faced by numerous American ethnic groups in the 19th and 20th century.
