A Burkeian Analysis of Baptist Revolutionary Propaganda: Issac Backus' Arguments for Civil Disobedience between 1773 and 1783

To explore the rhetorical contribution of Isaac Backus, an 18th century Baptist preacher and propagandist, to the struggle for civil and religioius liberty. Backus represented the common masses, as opposed to the elite minority of Jefferson and Adams.
