Women and Religion of Colonial America

To study women and religion in colonial America. The study will examine women and Congregationalism in Conn. and Mass.; women and Presbyterianism and Quakerism in Penn. and N.J.; and women and Anglicanism in Md. and Va. The project will also provide insights into the general dynamics of the religious experience.
