The Development of William Faulkner's Aesthetic in the 1920s

To examine the aesthetic development of William Faulkner in the late 1920s. It was at this time that Faulkner began writing a kind of fiction relying on the relatively impersonal representation of dramatic conflict. P.I. will examine this and Faulkner's concept of "arrested motion", an image which guided Faulkner throughout his career.
