The Bias-Set Capital in Gothic Architecture

To study the role of the bias-set capital in Anglo-Norman Romanesque vaults and in the Early Gothic buildings of Normandy. The term "bias-set capital11 refers to the position of the supporting capital beneath the diagonal ribs in a rib-vault. The PI will catalogue and photograph the Norman examples.
