Jean des Champs and Gothic Architecture

A study of Jean des Champs, a 13th century architect from Northern France who was responsible for the designing of five major cathedrals in central and southern France between 1262-1285. In these buildings elements of the "Court Style" of Northern France were introduced into Southern France where they transformed and were transformed by the native architecture of the South.
