Keynesian Politics: John Maynard Keynes' Political Theory

To do a thorough analysis of Keynes' political and social ideas, particularly as these relate to his economics. Keynes is probably the most influential economist and economic advisor in this century-he encouraged government intervention in the economy to end unemployment, and in his eyes save capitalism, and is one of the intellectual architects of the present international economic system. Much has been written about his economics, but virtually no scholarly, non-polemical, non-ideological analyses of Keynes' political value have been written. Study will result in two articles—a general article on his political- social philosophy, and another on his political concepts of international relations.
