Modernist Poetry in Chinese
The project will combine research at the Shanghai Municipal Library and the Taiwan Central Research Academy with interviews with writers living in China, Taiwan and North America (San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Vancouver, BC). The research and interview findings will be central material in a book-length study of Modernist poetry in Chinese, a manuscript I hope to complete by August, 2005.
