Translation of the Anthology of Texts on Absolute Freedom (moksha) in the Great Epic of India (Mahâbhârata)
I will begin systematically revising my draft translation of the second half of The Book of Peace of the ancient Indian scriptural epic, the Mahâbhârata. This work is one of the foundational texts of the Hindu religious tradition. I have recently completed a translation of the first half of The Book of Peace (Univ. of Chicago Press; Feb., 2004). The proposed work will complete the translation of this book as part of a complete English translation of the entire Mahâbhârata by several scholars.
