The Complete Works of Sir Thomas Wyatt the Elder: Volume 2, the Poetry
An NEH Summer Stipend would support archival research toward the second of two volumes in the first scholarly edition of Sir Thomas Wyatt’s (1503?-1542) complete works since 1815. Volume one, a revised form of my dissertation on Wyatt’s prose, is essentially completed. Volume two will be the first original-spelling edition of Wyatt’s poetry since 1969. Proposals and samples for each are now under review at Oxford University Press.
