Becoming American: The Literature and Film of Immigration
Consultation with scholars, representatives from national organizations, and educational programmers about the changing patterns of immigration to the United States.
National Book Foundation, working with scholars of U.S. immigration and humanities related institutions, requests a consultation grant to to develop a national project based in printed literature, film, video, audiobooks, web, and other media about changing patterns of immigration to the United States and how they have helped the country develop. The project will use these consultations to understand the possible scope of the subject matter, participation of various institutions across the United States, and methods, modes and venues for dissemination.
