Museum Fellowship Programs with Hagley Museum

The Hagley Program provides qualified candidates with opportunity to attend courses in museology at the Hagley Museum and in history at the University to attain professional status in the museum field. ABSTRACT: The Hagley Program, jointly sponsored by the Eleutherian Mills-Hagley Foundation and the University of Delaware, provides qualified candidates with opportunity to attend courses in museology at the Hagley Museum and in history at the University, to attain professional status in the museum field, and to receive M.A. or PhD degrees. Program offers 3 courses in museum training, summer work projects, special seminars and conferences, and opportunities to meet and talk with museum administrators--all designed to prepare students for work in historical society and agency administration. Program includes both practical and theoretical problems releated to collections of American historical material and conservation thereof. Graduates in great demand because of excellence of training and ever-increasing need for qualified historical society and agency personnel. Funds for 5 Fellows' stipends, tuition and dependency allowance. Continuation of H67-0-42, H68-0-53, H69-0-57
