Journey to a Lost World: A Film Introduction to Tibet

To produce a 20 minute 16mm film introduction to the land, people, and culture of Tibet. In the form of a "journey," the film will take the viewer to the mountains, valleys, and cities of Tibet. The physical environment, climate, architecture, methods of transportation, agriculture, crafts, life styles, government, and religion will be exlored. The complex role of Buddhism in Tibetan life will receive special attention, with a discussion of painting, sculpture, and ritual objects created for the religion.
