Interdisciplinary Project Organized by the New Orleans Museum of Art Entitled "Eye for Eye: Egyptian Images and Inscriptions"

To introduce the general adult public of the Seattle/King County area to ancient Egyptian art and culture in preparation for the "Treasures from the Tomb of Tutankhamun" by focusing on the inter-disciplinary relationship between art, literature and the function of writing in ancient Egypt. Exhibition will be timed to precede the Tut exhibit by 6 weeks and continue through duration of exhibit. Programs will include docent training workshops, lectures, films, a guide to the exhibition, an exhibition catalogue, and a handbook for docents, teachers and community organizations.
