The Role of the Literary Masterpiece "The Tale of Genji" in Japanese Culture

To support implementation of an exhibit on albums, scrolls, and screens relating to, and inspired by, the great masterpiece of Japanese fiction THE TALE OF GENJI. The exhibit will explore the story of Genji itself and relate it to the artistic, social and cultural background of the period.
